Client sector profile: Pharmaceutical/ Healthcare
The Company: Part of the BioPharma Services Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific with 30,000 employees, 10 billion dollars annual revenue. Fisher Clinical Services focus on serving the packaging and distribution requirements of clinical trials all over the world, with facilities in the UK, China, India, Japan, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, South Africa, USA, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina.
The Challenge: They had a Citrix implementation supporting 1500 users and were experiencing major performance problems as well as issues with User Profiles. They engaged Thintech to carry out a full Healthcheck report on the existing Citrix implementation. The report highlighted a number of fundamental issues with the architecture & configuration which were contributing to the company’s performance problems. Thintech’s recommendation was to build a new Citrix implementation from the ground up according to best practice.
The Solution: Thintech designed and implemented a new Citrix implementation based on Citrix XenApp 5 and Citrix Access Gateway with a hybrid profile management solution. This significantly improved performance and removed the profile issues the Company had been experiencing. As a result Fisher Clinical Services then rolled out Citrix globally.
Client sector profile: Healthcare / Local Government
The Company: NHS Islington includes local GPs, dentists, pharmacies for the residents of Islington. It has 900 employees and run community services. It supports shared services for 3 Trusts.
The Challenge: They have used Citrix before but faced some technical network related changes arising from the move to shared services. They also wanted to use Citrix with USB card readers devices. Thintech has been the only partner that they have worked with that had the technical ability to resolve their issues.
The Solution: Thintech built for them XenApp running on Vmware along with secure access using Advance Access control with 2 factor authentication.
Insurance Solutions
Client sector profile: Finance / Insurance; Sites in different countries
The Company: Pro Insurance Solutions is a provider of insurance outsourcing and consultancy services. They have offices in US and Europe – New York and Stanford in US and Gloucester in the UK, with their headquarters in London. They have 1500 employees.
The Challenge: The Company engaged Thintech to design and implement an Oracle based application, hosted at Start Internet for us by their US office.
The Solution: Thintech installed XenApp to deliver the application securely. Thintech also carried out a full disaster recovery test and produce a detailed plan for the application.
Client sector profile: Interior designs and architecture; Sites in different countries
The Company: Areen provides interior design and architecture and procurement services on a global scale. They have offices in UK and Abu Dhabi with 67 employees.
The Challenge: They engaged Thintech to help with desktop virtualization and server consolidation, using Citrix Technology.
The Solution: Thintech built for them XenDesktop 5 and XenApp 5, running on Xen Server 5.6 and access solution with Access Gateway. Thintech also provides a remote Citrix support service for this Company.

The Company: Marketform is a market leader in liability insurance (medical malpractice insurance ) and many other specialty lines, working with brokers and businesses in more than 35 countries. They have offices in UK, Australia, Italy and Spain. The company had around 100 users.
The Challenge: They were already licensed in using XenDesktop and wanted to share multiple versions of Microsoft office on their Citrix farm.
The Solution: Thintech designed and implemented a new solution, using XenDesktop, running on XenServer and delivering the applications via XenApp. These allowed multiple version of Microsoft Office to co –exist on end clients desktop.

The Company: Intesa Sanpaolo is a leading banking group in Italy. The group has 5, 700 branches worldwide and 11 million customers. It has a selective presence in central-eastern Europe, Middle Eastern and North Africa.
The Challenge: They had a small use of Citrix and wanted to expand this.
The Solution: Thintech built for them new Citrix Server and documented the process. Thintech also provides a remote Citrix support service for this Company.
